Expectations for Students in Mr. Rozeboom's Classroom
1. Be Punctual: in other words, be in your seat when the bell rings! I will mark students tardy if they choose to disregard this rule
2. Bring ALL books and materials to class - I allow students to exit my room during class time a total of 2 times per week without consequence. However, if a student is tardy, needs to use the restroom during class, get a drink during class, or needs to return to their locker to get materials they have forgotten, there will be a consequence of my choosing. Emergencies do not count. In other words, if you feel sick, please just leave the room immediately to use the restroom.
3. Follow directions the first time they are given. Listening, is a skill that must be mastered if you want to become an excellent student and a good citizen in a community.
4. Respect your peer's right to learn and your teacher's right to teach! This means when someone else is speaking during class, you are not!
5. Stay in your seat unless you have permission to do otherwise. If you know that you have a cold and you have a runny nose, when you come into the room please take 1-3 tissues and take them to you desk. I will not permit students to be out of their seat getting tissues whenever they please. If you do need a tissue during class, wait until an appropriate time to get up and get a tissue. If you need to sharpen your pencil I prefer you do that before class begins. However, if it needs to be sharpened during class, ask permission first or wait until a proper time to do it.
